Introducing the Rack

The next version of Jambalaya will come with a virtual rack - a place where you can create static instances of instruments and effects, configure them, and then just play them from songs. Rack devices are never sent patch change or state restore information when switching songs. They are kept warm and ready to go. This is good for samplers that are slow to load sample sets.

The Rack is also the only way to take advantage of multi-timbral capabilities in synths. So you could set up a kontakt instance with a complicate multi and map each instrument in the multi to a mixer channel in Jambalaya.
